So, how does this work?
All of the South African phone companies (Telkom, Vodacom, etc) provide itemized statements. However, these aren’t particularly helpful or easy to work with.
Our Phone Statement Analyzer computer program changes everything though. Here’s what you need to know…
1. You can download your itemized statements from telkom.co.za, vodacom.co.za, etc. Or if you prefer, we can do this for you.
2. Phone Statement Analyzer can then import these statements in seconds, and make sense of the information for you in ways that are easier to understand.
3. Once you are up and running, you can then ask the phone companies to stop sending you paper-based statements.
How do I start?
Step 1 : Download Phone Statement Analyzer from here, and install it onto your computer. Once you have installed Phone Statement Analyzer, you will see a new shortcut on your desktop.

Step 2 : Double-click on that shortcut to launch Phone Statement Analyzer. You will be presented with a screen similar to this one…

Step 3: Congratulations! You are now running Phone Statement Analyzer. The final step is to give Phone Statement Analyzer some phone statements to analyze. This is explained next.
How do I download my phone statements?
There are two ways in which you can download your statements…
The easy way…
Downloading your phone statements is a bit of a mission. To make using our software even easier, we are now offering a service, whereby your phone statements will simply appear in the software each month, as if by magic. You don’t have to do download them, or import them, or anything at all. If you’re interested in finding our more about this service, please click here.
The not-quite-as-easy way…
You can download your statements yourself from telkom.co.za, vodacom.co.za, etc. We have published instructions on how to do this as follows…
I have the software, I have my statements, now what?
If you got this far then you’re sorted. Downloading your phone statements is the only “tricky” / tedious part of this process (which is why we’re now offering to do this for you).
Once you have downloaded your phone statements, simply click on the “Import” button, as shown here…

Within seconds you should see all of your telephone calls, like this…

Each month you simply need to download your phone statements (or we can do this for you), fire up Phone Statement Analyzer, and click the “Import” button. Easy as that.
So, what can this software tell me?
A whole heap of things. Here’s one example… Simply click on the “Analysis” button and you will be presented with a number of questions, such as…
- Who have I called the most?
- Which networks do I call the most?
- Business vs Private calls?
- How much am I spending each month?
If you choose “Who have I called the most?”, you will see the answer, like this…

I know what you’re thinking. Your phone statement already gives you this graph, right? Well, ours is prettier. ![]()
Also, it’s interactive, meaning that you can right-click on any part of the graph and drill down, see the actual calls, ask it questions, etc.
Also, it will hook into your Outlook address book and automatically figure out who the various phone numbers belong to, so instead of just seeing the top 20 phone numbers, you will actually see the names of the people who you called! This is a whole lot more useful.
Also, it lets you differentiate between business and private calls. And then you can print a report, so you can get that money back.

Again, some of the phone companies have attempted to offer this sort of functionality, but we’re taking things to a whole new level. For power-users we even allow you to set up business and private contacts, multiple-users in your company / home, rules saying that this contact belongs to this person in my company / home, etc, etc, etc.
The idea is simple. With Phone Statement Analyzer you will have useful, meaningful answers to your questions immediately, without having to enter lots of information or fiddle around with settings. But power-users will find a range of features below the surface, should they choose to use them.
This is just one example of what Phone Statement Analyzer can do for you. There are many more. So download the software, and try it out for yourself.
We’re confident you’ll be happy that you did.
