The following “Jump Start” tutorial was produced for Nedbank clients in May 2009.

Please note that in point 12 (below) you are asked to download an example Nedbank bank statement, which you can obtain by contacting us via email.

Jump Start…

Step 1 – Download “Personal Money Manager” from here.

Step 2 – Install Personal Money Manager, following the prompts (as shown below).

Step 3 – Once you have proceeded through the various screens on the installer, click “Finish” to run the software.

Step 4 – Accept the Disclaimer.

Step 5 – Click “No” to bypass the “Getting Started” tutorial. You can read this tutorial later by choosing “Getting Started” from Personal Money Manager’s “Help” menu.

Step 6 – The “Account Setup Wizard” will appear. This will step you through creating your first account. Proceed as shown below.

Step 7 – Enter “1234567890″ as the Account Number.

Step 8 – Enter “Test Account” as the Account Description.

Step 9 – Enter “20000″ (twenty thousand) as the account’s Credit Limit.

Step 10 – Note that Personal Money Manager has created a new folder for your account. We will place some test data (an example bank statement) into this folder later on.

Step 11 – Click “Finish” to close the Account Setup Wizard.

Step 12 – Download our example bank statement, as mentioned at the top of this page.  Save this file into your “My Documents\My Bank Statements\Nedbank_1234567890″ folder.

Step 13 – Click on the Import button to import the example statement.
