Free vs Pro Edition

There are two versions of Data Mapper. When you install Data Mapper it will run in “Standard Edition” mode. This is 100% FREE to use for as long as you like.

You can however choose to upgrade to the Professional Edition. To do this you simply purchase a license, and we will email you an activation code to unlock additional functionality.

What’s in the Professional Edition?

The free version is exactly the same as the Professional Edition, except for the following differences:

  • The free version displays a nag screen several seconds after starting the program.
  • The free version only allows you to save 2 dictionaries in your “Recent Projects” list, and each of those dictionaries can only have a maximum of 5 views.  The Pro Edition supports unlimited dictionaries, and unlimited views per dictionary.
  • The free version does not remember your program settings.  So each time you run it you will need to re-tick things like “Show Grid” and “Show Relationships”.
  • You cannot print dictionary diagrams in the free version.
  • The free version can only import TXD files, so you need to open your Clarion Dictionary in the Clarion IDE and export a TXD file from the Dictionary, which you then import using Clarion Data Mapper.  The Pro Edition of Clarion Data Mapper can import DCT files directly (only if you have Clarion 7 installed).
