Inside our new offices

And now the moment that everyone has been waiting for all week!

Or not.  Either way.

Today’s post concludes the series of posts on our new offices, by showing off the inside of StrategyOnline’s new offices at 7 Bright Street, Somerset West.

Pictured on the right is our front door.  If it wasn’t out front door, then having the StrategyOnline logo on it would be weird I guess.

Once you enter the front door, you will be greeted by Heike, who is new to our team, and will be introduced officially next week.

The reception area (below) is pretty cozy.  Two really nice chairs, some magazines on the table (which all have articles about StrategyOnline in them – what a coincidence!), and even a chess board (because our logo is a chess horse, for those who didn’t make the connection).

I’m really chuffed with how this turned out…

We really should have moved that box against the dark wall.  That’s one of our new Dell XPS laptops.  More on that next week as well.

And here’s our “engine room” – or “the good looking room”, as one of our clients calls it.

From left to right are Heike, Shelley, and Roslyn.  Ros has been with Strategy for the past two years, Shelley and Heike joined us recently.  We’ll be introducing the whole team officially next week, here on the blog.  Exciting stuff.

This next one is of our “boardroom”.  StrategyOnline is largely a virtual company, with staff, contractors and partner companies located all around the globe.  So the boardroom table also incorporates a Skype-enabled television screen, so we can patch in anyone else from anywhere in the world.

This is Africa, and summers get pretty warm, so in addition to our aircon system we also have my favorite gadget at the moment in the corner – a fan than mimics real wind, and can spray a fine mist over the boardroom table while we’re doing our thing (only when there are no electronics around, obviously).

And the final picture is me, Gary, in my office.  We’re still waiting for more plants to arrive, so my office will look a bit greener in the near future.
