Developer Tools

Clarion Desktop

Clarion Desktop is a tool built for Clarion developers, which can…

  • Display all your installed Clarion 3rdParty accessories!
  • Display version information about all your accessories!
  • Display notifications when new versions of your accessories are available!!

In addition to that, Clarion Desktop can also…

  • Store your installer passwords, so that they’re always close at hand!
  • Enter your installer passwords when you run installers!
  • Display news from Clarion Magazine, SoftVelocity, Par2, and other websites!
  • Search all the major Clarion websites!
  • Provide links to all the major Clarion websites!
  • Provide links to suppliers and product websites!
  • Archive your old accessory installers in case you ever need to roll back!

Clarion Desktop aims to provide one place from where you can view all your Clarion information.

Countless people have contributed to this project, but I need to single out Dave Harms, Charles Edmonds, Arnor Baldvinsson, Gus Creces, Bruce Johnson, Steve Parker, and Richard Rose for their roles in making this project possible.

Please Note…

Despite having over 1300 Clarion developers actively using Clarion Desktop, with 35 suppliers and 190 compatible products, we were unable to justify the resources that this project required to keep it running. In 2011 we reluctantly took the decision to discontinue this project, and gave it over to another software company for future development.

“1,300 Clarion Developers, 190 Products, 35 Suppliers, 1 Clarion Desktop.”
